When disaster strikes, timely building assessments are critical to public safety and community recovery. This seminar will explore the importance of post-storm inspections, focusing on Missouri’s Structural Assessment and Visual Evaluation (SAVE) Coalition. Participants will learn how trained professionals perform rapid, visual evaluations to determine building safety and help residents return to their homes quickly and safely. The course will outline the SAVE program’s structure, inspector qualifications, and the green/yellow/red tagging system used to assess buildings. Attendees will gain insight into how post-disaster inspections protect lives and support local governments during emergency response efforts.
