Course Overview

Have you even wondered about the physics of how and why a masonry fireplace works? Join Dana Martini as he discusses the proper masonry fireplace and chimney design, how to specify a masonry fireplace and the IRC code pertaining to the design and construction of masonry fireplace and chimneys. Dana will explain the history of the masonry fireplace, the emissions of wood burning fireplaces, proper chimney sizing, safety and how the consideration of the building envelope and all other sources of exhaust is addressed.
